Commandthe room.
Presentation design and messaging for government contractors. We help you direct what your audience sees, understands, and does next.
Shaped by more than 10 years of PowerPoint experience and eight years working in a highly regulated industry.
Who we serve
Small and mid-size government contractors whose teams present to evaluators and agency leaders.
Own the perception, and you own the room.
Before: a slide crowded with seven long bullet points under a long title. After: the same update as one bold headline, "On schedule. On budget. One decision.", with three short status blocks.
Same information.
Different presentation.
Each dot represents a person in the room. Same information, clearer direction, so everyone sees what matters first.
The Directive Method.
Evaluators can only judge what they understand. So every deck we build is designed around three things: what your audience perceives, what it understands, and how it responds.
Perceives
What the eye lands on first. We set the storyline, then lay out each slide so the most important thing is seen first.
Understands
What the audience takes away. Headlines state the point, and graphics make technical content readable for people outside the team.
Responds
What happens next. Every deck ends in a clear ask, so the room knows the decision you need from them.
Three ways
to work together.
Two project services for oral presentations and proposal decks, and one retainer for the briefings that come after award.

About Visual Directive
Visual Directive is a presentation design and messaging studio for government contractors.
Visual is the easy part of our name. Directive is the part that matters. We help you direct what your audience sees, understands, and does next, by turning dense, technical material into presentations that evaluators and agency leaders can follow.
We do it with the Directive Method, our framework for every deck. It asks three things of each slide: what the audience perceives, what it understands, and how it responds.
We design oral presentations, proposal decks, executive briefings, stakeholder briefings, program reviews, and other decision-support presentations where the information needs to be clear, the details need to be right, and the person presenting needs to be ready for the room.
We work in two tracks. The Pitch track covers the presentations you give to compete for work. The Perform track covers the briefings you give once the work is yours.

I practice what I sell.
Before I built Visual Directive, I built presentations where the message had to earn a decision.
I've worked in PowerPoint for more than 10 years, and I've spent eight years in the utility sector, a highly regulated industry, across several departments. That's where I learned that a good idea and a good-looking deck aren't enough. When I had an idea for a new initiative, I couldn't just start. I had to build the case, brief leadership and key stakeholders, answer their questions, and give them what they needed to make a decision.
So I built the deck and presented it myself. More than once, I walked out with a yes. One presentation helped secure approval for a pilot that went on to deliver measurable results. Another made the case for why I should be selected for a new vendor pilot. I was selected.
I've done the same for leadership, stakeholders and colleagues when their ideas were on the line, helping them organize complex information, sharpen the message, and build presentations they could confidently put in front of leadership. That's where Visual Directive comes from. I didn't learn PowerPoint because I wanted to start a presentation design company. I built Visual Directive around work I'd already spent years doing.
The deck has to do more than look good. It has to help make the case.

The presentations we work on
Don't see your market?
If your team presents to people who score, fund or approve your work, we can help.
The Directive Method.
Confusion stalls. Clarity moves.
Evaluators can only judge what they understand. So every deck we build is designed around three things: what your audience perceives, what it understands, and how it responds.
Perceives
What does the eye land on first?
We set the storyline, then lay out each slide so the most important thing is seen first. Nothing on the slide competes with the point.
Understands
What does the audience take away?
Headlines state the point, and graphics make technical content readable for people outside the team. A reader who only sees the headlines still gets the case.
Responds
What happens next?
Every deck ends in a clear ask, so the room knows the decision you need from them.
Own the perception, and you own the room.
Same content. Different view. The information in a deck rarely changes. What changes is how quickly an audience finds what matters, and that is what the method is built to control.

How long it takes
On a monthly retainer
With Sustain the Deck, you send requests as they come up. Standard requests come back within two business days, and each month you get a summary of the hours used.
On a custom request
One step is different. We may need to review your material before we can quote the work. If so, we send you a private upload link after your call, and we sign a nondisclosure agreement first if the material is sensitive. Once you accept the quote and sign the agreement, the steps above apply: you pay in the client portal, then the work begins.

Services
What does Visual Directive do?
We design and write presentations for government contractors: oral presentations, proposal decks, executive briefings, program reviews, technical deep dives and training decks.
What is the difference between Frame, Build and Sustain?
Frame the Deck takes a deck you already have, puts the pieces in order and redesigns it. Build the Deck starts earlier: we shape the storyline, write the slide headlines and design every slide. Sustain the Deck is a monthly retainer for the briefings that keep coming once you have the contract.
What if my project does not fit one of the three?
Make a custom request. It covers work that is smaller or larger than a full deck, or shaped differently. Start by booking a call. If we need to review your material to scope the work, we send you a private upload link after the call. You then receive a fixed quote, and payment comes only after you accept it and sign the agreement.
Do you offer ongoing presentation support?
Yes. Sustain the Deck is a monthly retainer for program reviews, status briefings and training decks, with up to 20 hours each month.
Do you write our technical content?
No. You bring the technical content and the people who know it. We shape the story, write the slide headlines and design the slides so your audience can follow it.
Do you coach presenters?
No. We design the deck and shape the message, and your team does the presenting. On a full build, we update the slides after your team rehearses.
Can you support a large team or several departments?
Visual Directive is a small studio by design, and you work with one consistent contact. If your need spans several teams or a high volume of decks, make a custom request and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.
Pricing and payment
How does your pricing work?
Frame the Deck, Build the Deck and Sustain the Deck each have a fixed price, shown on their service pages. A custom request is quoted individually, based on the scope and slide count, the complexity of the content and visuals, and your timeline.
When do I pay?
Payment for project work is due before work begins, and scheduling starts once payment and your materials have been received. Retainers are billed monthly in advance.
What payment methods do you accept?
We take payment through PayPal, where you can pay with a card or your PayPal account. The payment buttons are in the client portal.
Will I receive a record of my payment?
Yes. PayPal emails you a receipt for every payment, and your agreement states the scope and price it covers.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Frame the Deck includes two rounds and Build the Deck includes three. A round is one consolidated set of changes from your team.
Timing and delivery
How long does it take?
Frame the Deck takes 2 to 5 business days. Build the Deck takes 1 to 3 weeks. Sustain the Deck is a monthly retainer with a three-month minimum, and standard requests come back within two business days. A custom request is scheduled around your deadline.
What if our presentation date is sooner than that?
Tell us the date when you book a call. Rush work depends on our availability, and any rush fee is stated in your quote before you commit.
What do you need from us to start?
Your presentation date, the solicitation or briefing requirements, your current deck or draft content, and your brand files: logo, template and fonts.
What will we receive at the end?
An editable PowerPoint file, ready to present. On a full build, we also update the slides after your team rehearses.
Can I reschedule a call?
Yes, with at least 48 hours' notice, up to two times in a calendar month. The details are in our Booking and Scheduling Policy.
Security and confidentiality
How do you protect the confidentiality of our information?
We use what you share only to do your work, and we do not show it publicly or use it for marketing. Files come to us through a private upload that no other client can see.
Do you sign nondisclosure agreements?
Yes. A nondisclosure agreement is part of every engagement, and we can sign one before you share sensitive material.
Where are our files stored?
In Dropbox, which we use for client uploads and file storage. We keep your materials only as long as we need them for your work and our records, and you can ask us to delete or return them when the engagement ends.
Can you handle confidential executive and leadership presentations?
Yes. Confidential business material is covered by the nondisclosure agreement. The limit is classified or controlled information, described in the next answer.
Can you work with classified or controlled information?
Do not send classified information. Controlled or export-controlled material should only be shared after we have agreed in writing on a handling method that your security team approves.
Who owns the finished deck?
You do, once it is paid for in full. You receive an editable PowerPoint file. We will not show your work or name your company publicly without your written permission.
Do you guarantee that we will win?
No. We design presentations to communicate clearly, and we do not guarantee a contract award, an evaluation score or any other decision.

1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms apply to all presentation design, messaging, and related consulting services provided by Visual Directive.
Your acceptance of a quote, payment of an invoice, issuance of a purchase order, written authorization to begin work, use of a deliverable, or continued participation in a project constitutes acceptance of these Terms and the applicable Service Agreement.
No Client terms, purchase-order terms, vendor-portal terms, or other terms will modify these Terms unless Visual Directive expressly agrees to those modifications in a written agreement signed by Visual Directive.
2. Services
Visual Directive provides presentation design and messaging services, including, as applicable:
- Oral presentation and briefing-deck redesign
- Presentation storyline development
- Slide headline and message development
- Slide design and layout
- Chart, graphic, and diagram redesign
- Speaker-note editing
- Presentation templates
- Executive and stakeholder briefing support
- Program-review, status-update, and training-deck support
- Ongoing monthly briefing-deck support
The exact scope of services, deliverables, timeline, fees, revision rounds, assumptions, exclusions, and other project-specific terms will be stated in the applicable Service Agreement.
Any service, deliverable, revision, meeting, source-material review, or other work not expressly included in the Service Agreement is outside the agreed scope and may require additional fees, a revised timeline, or a separate engagement.
3. Service Agreements and Order of Precedence
Each project or engagement is governed by these Terms and the applicable Service Agreement.
If a signed Service Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed Service Agreement controls only with respect to the conflicting provision and only for that specific engagement. All other provisions of these Terms remain in effect.
For purposes of these Terms, a “Service Agreement” may include a signed proposal, written quote accepted by Client, statement of work, invoice description accepted by Client, or other written agreement that clearly identifies the project scope and commercial terms.
4. Quotes, Scope, and Change Requests
4.1 Quotes
Unless otherwise stated in writing, quotes are valid for 30 calendar days from the date issued. Visual Directive may withdraw or revise an unaccepted quote at any time before acceptance.
4.2 Fixed-Fee Work
Fixed fees apply only to the scope, assumptions, materials, slide count, revision rounds, delivery schedule, and other conditions stated in the applicable Service Agreement.
4.3 Change Requests
The following are examples of changes that may be treated as out-of-scope work:
- Additional slides, deliverables, or presentation versions
- New or substantially revised source material supplied after work has begun
- Additional meetings, reviews, or stakeholder groups
- Additional revision rounds
- Significant changes to a previously approved storyline, visual direction, or messaging direction
- Changes to requirements, solicitation instructions, branding, or technical content
- A shortened delivery timeline
- Requests to rebuild materials because Client source information was incomplete, inaccurate, or materially changed
Visual Directive may, in its sole discretion, issue a change order, revised quote, additional invoice, or revised project schedule before performing out-of-scope work. We are not required to begin or continue additional work until Client approves the revised scope and pays any required additional fees.
5. Fees, Invoicing, and Payment
5.1 Prepayment Requirement
Unless the Service Agreement expressly states otherwise, all project fees are due and payable in full before Visual Directive begins substantive work.
For monthly retainer services, fees are due in advance at the beginning of each applicable service month.
Visual Directive has no obligation to reserve project dates, begin work, deliver work, release editable or final files, or continue services until all required payments have cleared.
5.2 Reserved Capacity
When Visual Directive reserves time, production capacity, or a project delivery window for Client, that capacity may no longer be available to other clients. Payments associated with reserved capacity compensate Visual Directive for committing professional time and availability to the engagement.
5.3 Late, Failed, or Reversed Payments
If a payment is late, declined, reversed, disputed, charged back, or otherwise not successfully received, Visual Directive may, without limiting other rights or remedies:
- Delay work or delivery
- Suspend the project
- Withhold drafts, final files, or editable source files
- Revoke access to services or project materials
- Terminate the engagement
- Require payment of outstanding balances before resuming work
- Require a new payment method or full payment in advance for future work
Client remains responsible for all fees, charges, and amounts due under the Service Agreement, including fees for services performed, time reserved, approved change requests, and work completed before suspension or termination.
6. PayPal Payments
Visual Directive currently uses PayPal for invoicing and payment processing. By paying an invoice through PayPal, Client also agrees to comply with the applicable PayPal user agreement, payment terms, policies, and dispute-resolution processes.
Visual Directive is not responsible for PayPal’s availability, payment-processing delays, account restrictions, transaction limits, payment holds, fees, payment failures, or decisions regarding a payment, chargeback, reversal, claim, or dispute.
Payment through PayPal does not modify, waive, or replace Client’s obligations under these Terms or any applicable Service Agreement. Client agrees not to initiate a payment dispute, chargeback, reversal, or claim for services that Client authorized and that Visual Directive has properly reserved, performed, delivered, or made available under the applicable Service Agreement.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to override, limit, or waive any rights, obligations, remedies, or dispute processes that apply under PayPal’s own user agreement, policies, or applicable law.
7. Scheduling, Project Start, and Deadlines
Consultations, meetings, and other appointments are also governed by Visual Directive’s Booking and Scheduling Policy.
7.1 Project Start Date
A project start date, production schedule, or delivery date is not final until all of the following have occurred:
- Client has accepted the applicable Service Agreement.
- Visual Directive has received the required payment.
- Client has provided all required intake materials and information.
- Client has identified the authorized project contact and decision-maker.
- Client has provided any required approvals, access, brand assets, templates, solicitation requirements, briefing requirements, or source documents.
Visual Directive will schedule work based on its availability after these conditions are met.
7.2 Client-Supplied Deadlines
Client must disclose all material deadlines before the project begins, including presentation dates, submission deadlines, internal review deadlines, rehearsal dates, agency deadlines, and any date by which a draft or final file is required.
Visual Directive is not responsible for deadlines disclosed after work begins unless we agree in writing to accommodate them. A newly disclosed or shortened deadline may require a rush fee, revised scope, revised delivery date, or refusal of the request based on availability.
7.3 Delivery Dates
Any delivery date depends on Client’s timely cooperation, complete materials, prompt approvals, and compliance with all agreed review deadlines. Delivery dates may be extended on a day-for-day basis, or longer if reasonably necessary, for each day that Client delays in providing required materials, feedback, approvals, payment, or access.
8. Client Responsibilities
Client’s timely participation is essential to the project. Client is responsible for all of the following:
- Providing complete, accurate, and current source content, technical information, data, facts, figures, claims, requirements, and supporting materials
- Providing brand standards, approved logos, templates, fonts, color specifications, and other brand assets when applicable
- Providing solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, agency requirements, briefing requirements, contract requirements, and presentation requirements when applicable
- Identifying one authorized point of contact with authority to provide feedback and approvals
- Consolidating feedback from all Client stakeholders into one clear, complete set of comments per revision round
- Meeting all agreed dates for content delivery, review, feedback, approvals, and payment
- Reviewing deliverables promptly and carefully
- Ensuring it has the legal right and necessary permissions to provide all materials to Visual Directive
- Confirming the factual, technical, legal, regulatory, procurement, contractual, and brand accuracy of all content before presentation, submission, publication, or use
- Maintaining copies of all materials provided to Visual Directive
Unless the Service Agreement specifies a different deadline, Client must provide requested materials, feedback, approvals, or responses within two business days after Visual Directive’s written request.
Visual Directive may rely on Client-supplied information without independently verifying its accuracy, completeness, legality, compliance status, or suitability for Client’s intended use.
9. Client Delays, Inactivity, Suspension, and Termination
9.1 Effect of Client Delays
If Client does not provide requested content, feedback, approvals, payment, access, or other required information by the agreed deadline or, if no deadline is stated, within two business days after Visual Directive’s request, Visual Directive may delay delivery dates, reschedule the project, place the project on hold, suspend services, or terminate the engagement.
Visual Directive is not responsible for missed presentation dates, missed submission dates, missed proposal deadlines, lost business opportunities, or other consequences caused in whole or in part by Client delay, incomplete materials, inaccurate materials, untimely feedback, lack of approval, or lack of cooperation.
9.2 Project Pause
Visual Directive may place a project on pause if Client fails to respond, fails to provide required information, fails to make a required payment, provides incomplete materials that prevent progress, or otherwise prevents Visual Directive from reasonably continuing the work.
While a project is paused:
- Delivery dates are suspended and will be rescheduled based on Visual Directive’s then-current availability
- Visual Directive is not required to preserve the original delivery date or production slot
- Client may be required to pay a restart, rescheduling, or rush fee before work resumes
- Visual Directive may reassign the reserved project time to other clients
- Work already completed remains billable and nonrefundable, except where required by applicable law
9.3 Client Inactivity and Abandonment
If Client fails to provide required materials, feedback, approvals, payment, or other necessary cooperation for ten (10) calendar days after a written request or notice from Visual Directive, Visual Directive may suspend the project.
If Client fails to respond or provide the required information for thirty (30) calendar days after written notice that the project is paused or at risk of termination, Visual Directive may treat the project as abandoned and terminate the engagement.
9.4 Client-Caused Pause, Suspension, or Termination
If a project is paused, suspended, or terminated because of Client delay, neglect, inaction, failure to provide required materials, failure to provide feedback or approvals, nonpayment, breach of these Terms, or other Client-caused failure to cooperate:
- Client forfeits any claim to a refund, except where required by applicable law
- All payments previously made are final and nonrefundable to the fullest extent permitted by law
- Client remains responsible for all fees for work performed, time reserved, milestones reached, approved expenses, and other amounts owed through the effective date of suspension or termination
- Visual Directive may retain all work product, drafts, source files, and editable files until all amounts due are paid in full
- Any decision to restart the project is subject to Visual Directive’s availability, a new schedule, and any applicable restart, rescheduling, or rush fees
This section applies even if Client later decides not to use, present, submit, publish, or complete the deliverables.
10. Revisions, Review, and Approval
10.1 Included Revision Rounds
The number of included revision rounds is stated in the applicable Service Agreement.
A “revision round” means one consolidated, written set of feedback from Client after reviewing the applicable draft. Feedback from multiple Client stakeholders must be consolidated by Client before it is submitted to Visual Directive.
10.2 Out-of-Scope Revisions
Additional revisions, fragmented or contradictory feedback, major strategic changes, changes after prior approval, new content, changed source materials, new requirements, or requests that materially alter the agreed scope may be billed separately.
10.3 Review Deadline
Unless the Service Agreement states otherwise, Client must review and respond to deliverables within two business days after delivery. If Client does not respond within that period, Visual Directive may treat the applicable deliverable or stage as accepted for scheduling purposes and proceed to the next stage, place the project on pause, or revise the delivery schedule.
10.4 Final Approval
Client is solely responsible for reviewing and approving final deliverables before presentation, submission, publication, distribution, or use.
Approval of a storyline, content structure, draft, or final file confirms that Client has reviewed the material and accepts responsibility for its factual, technical, brand, legal, regulatory, contractual, and solicitation-related accuracy.
Visual Directive is not responsible for errors present in Client-supplied materials, errors approved by Client, changes made by Client or a third party after delivery, or content that Client did not timely review.
11. Rush Services
Work requested on a timeline shorter than Visual Directive’s standard turnaround time is considered rush work.
Rush work is subject to Visual Directive’s availability and is not guaranteed. If Visual Directive agrees to perform rush work, the applicable rush fee, expedited schedule, payment deadline, Client-response requirements, and other conditions will be stated in the quote or Service Agreement.
Client acknowledges that rush work requires accelerated Client participation. If Client misses a required content, review, approval, or payment deadline during a rush engagement, Visual Directive may revise the delivery date, suspend work, or terminate the engagement. Rush fees and payments for time reserved remain nonrefundable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Monthly Retainer Services
12.1 Retainer Scope
A monthly retainer covers the number of hours, deliverables, request types, turnaround expectations, and other terms stated in the applicable Service Agreement.
Retainer services are subject to Visual Directive’s reasonable capacity, Client’s timely provision of materials, and the definition of “standard requests” set out in the Service Agreement.
12.2 Advance Payment
Retainers are billed and payable in advance at the start of each billing period. Visual Directive may suspend retainer services if payment is not received when due.
12.3 Unused Hours
Unless the Service Agreement expressly states otherwise, unused retainer hours do not roll over into later months, have no cash value, and are nonrefundable.
12.4 Additional Work
Work that exceeds the monthly retainer allotment, falls outside the agreed request types, requires rush handling, or requires specialized services may be separately quoted and billed.
12.5 Retainer Termination
Retainer cancellation, notice periods, minimum terms, and final billing obligations are governed by the Service Agreement. Fees paid for active or completed billing periods are nonrefundable except where required by applicable law.
13. No Guarantee of Results
Visual Directive provides professional presentation design and messaging services intended to improve clarity, organization, readability, and audience understanding.
However, Visual Directive does not guarantee any specific outcome, including:
- Contract awards
- Proposal wins
- Evaluation scores
- Funding decisions
- Agency approvals
- Executive or stakeholder approvals
- Selection decisions
- Audience reactions
- Presentation performance
- Business results
- Revenue, profit, or return on investment
Client remains responsible for its solution, pricing, technical approach, personnel, compliance, submission, oral presentation performance, and all decisions related to its business and contracts.
14. No Legal, Regulatory, Proposal, or Compliance Advice
Visual Directive provides presentation design and messaging services only.
Visual Directive does not provide legal advice, procurement advice, proposal compliance certification, security advice, export-control advice, accounting advice, tax advice, engineering advice, or regulatory advice.
Visual Directive does not certify or guarantee that any deliverable complies with a solicitation, agency requirement, procurement rule, contract requirement, accessibility requirement, regulation, law, policy, or industry standard.
Client is solely responsible for obtaining any required legal, compliance, technical, procurement, security, accessibility, or other professional review before using a deliverable.
15. Confidentiality
Visual Directive will use reasonable care to protect Client’s non-public confidential information and will use that information solely as reasonably necessary to perform the services.
“Confidential Information” does not include information that Visual Directive can demonstrate:
- Was publicly available through no breach of these Terms
- Was already known to Visual Directive without a duty of confidentiality
- Was lawfully received from a third party without confidentiality restrictions
- Was independently developed without use of Client’s Confidential Information
- Must be disclosed by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental requirement, provided that Visual Directive may give notice when legally permitted
Visual Directive may disclose Client Confidential Information to contractors, service providers, or technology providers that reasonably need access to perform the services, provided they are subject to confidentiality obligations or appropriate privacy and security practices.
Visual Directive is willing to review and sign a reasonable mutual nondisclosure agreement before receiving sensitive material, subject to the terms of that agreement.
16. Restricted, Classified, Controlled, and Export-Controlled Information
Client must not provide Visual Directive with:
- Classified information
- Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
- Export-controlled information
- Information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”)
- Information subject to the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”)
- Sensitive government information
- Personal information requiring heightened protections
- Any information subject to special security, handling, storage, access, location, citizenship, or system requirements
unless Visual Directive has first agreed in writing to an approved handling method and Client has confirmed that method is acceptable to its authorized security, legal, compliance, or contracting personnel.
Client is solely responsible for determining whether its information is restricted, controlled, classified, export-controlled, proprietary, or otherwise subject to special handling requirements before sharing it.
Client represents and warrants that it has the right to provide all materials it shares with Visual Directive and that doing so does not violate any law, regulation, agreement, security requirement, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right.
17. Intellectual Property and Deliverables
17.1 Client Ownership of Final Deliverables
After Client has paid all amounts due in full, Client will own the final, approved deliverables specifically created for Client under the applicable Service Agreement, subject to third-party licenses and the rights retained by Visual Directive under these Terms.
17.2 Visual Directive Retained Rights
Visual Directive retains all right, title, and interest in and to its pre-existing and independently developed materials, methods, frameworks, processes, workflows, templates, concepts, know-how, design systems, tools, presentation techniques, and general skills, including the Visual Directive name, logo, service names, website content, and the Directive Method.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Visual Directive’s pre-existing intellectual property to Client.
Visual Directive may use general knowledge, skills, concepts, methods, design approaches, and experience gained during an engagement, provided that it does not disclose or use Client Confidential Information.
17.3 Withholding Deliverables
Until Client has paid all amounts due in full, Visual Directive may withhold final deliverables, editable files, source files, working files, and licenses to use deliverables.
17.4 Working Files
The final deliverable is provided as an editable PowerPoint file. Unless the Service Agreement expressly states otherwise, Visual Directive is not required to provide drafts, unused concepts, raw design files, production files, research files, or internal working materials.
18. Third-Party Assets and Licenses
Fonts, stock photography, stock illustrations, icons, templates, software, plugins, and other third-party materials may be subject to separate license terms.
Client is responsible for obtaining and maintaining any licenses needed for its intended use of third-party materials unless the Service Agreement expressly states that Visual Directive will obtain a specific license for Client.
Visual Directive is not responsible for Client’s use of third-party assets outside the permitted scope of any applicable license.
19. Portfolio and Publicity Rights
Visual Directive will not publicly display Client work, identify Client, use Client’s name or logo, or describe the engagement in a portfolio, case study, social-media post, website, marketing material, award submission, or other public communication without Client’s prior written permission.
Nothing in this section limits Visual Directive’s right to use generalized, anonymized knowledge, techniques, or experience that does not reveal Client Confidential Information.
20. Cancellation and Termination
20.1 Client Cancellation
Client may request cancellation in writing. Cancellation is effective only when Visual Directive confirms it in writing.
Fees paid for services performed, time reserved, project planning, project management, production time, completed milestones, and approved expenses remain due and are nonrefundable except where required by applicable law.
20.2 Visual Directive Termination Rights
Visual Directive may suspend or terminate an engagement immediately upon written notice if Client:
- Fails to pay any amount when due
- Fails to provide necessary materials, feedback, approvals, or cooperation
- Provides inaccurate, unlawful, infringing, restricted, classified, controlled, or improperly shared materials
- Requests work that Visual Directive reasonably believes would violate law, regulation, third-party rights, ethical obligations, or security requirements
- Abuses, harasses, threatens, or acts in bad faith toward Visual Directive
- Materially breaches these Terms or the Service Agreement
20.3 Effects of Termination
Upon termination, Client remains responsible for all fees due for work completed, time reserved, services performed, approved expenses, and any other amounts owed through the termination date.
Except where required by applicable law, payments already made are final and nonrefundable if termination results from Client cancellation, Client delay, Client neglect, Client nonpayment, Client breach, or Client failure to cooperate.
21. Refund Policy
21.1 Payments Are Final
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all payments made to Visual Directive are final and nonrefundable. Client acknowledges that Visual Directive reserves professional time, project capacity, scheduling availability, and production resources after Client accepts an engagement and payment is received.
21.2 No Refund for Client Cancellation, Delay, or Incomplete Work
Except where required by applicable law, Visual Directive does not issue refunds because:
- Client changes its mind, cancels, or no longer needs the services
- Client decides not to use, present, submit, publish, or distribute the deliverables
- Client does not achieve a desired contract, proposal, funding, evaluation, approval, presentation, or business outcome
- Client fails to provide required materials, source content, feedback, approvals, payment, access, or other cooperation
- Client delays, pauses, abandons, suspends, or prevents completion of the project
- Client is dissatisfied with work that remains incomplete because Client did not meet its responsibilities, deadlines, or obligations
- Client terminates the engagement after Visual Directive has reserved capacity, begun work, performed services, or incurred approved costs
21.3 Client-Caused Pause, Suspension, or Termination
If a project is paused, suspended, or terminated because of Client neglect, inactivity, nonpayment, failure to provide requested information, failure to meet review or approval deadlines, failure to provide required cooperation, breach of these Terms, or any other Client-caused delay or failure, Client forfeits all payments previously made.
All payments previously made will remain final and nonrefundable, except where required by applicable law. Client remains responsible for all fees due for work performed, time reserved, milestones reached, approved expenses, and other amounts owed through the date of suspension or termination.
21.4 No Refund Based Solely on Dissatisfaction
Except where required by applicable law, Client’s subjective dissatisfaction with a deliverable, draft, design direction, or work that has not been completed does not create a right to a refund, particularly where completion, revision, or improvement of the work is delayed or prevented by Client’s failure to provide timely materials, feedback, approvals, direction, payment, or cooperation.
Visual Directive will perform the services with reasonable professional skill and care and will provide the revision rounds expressly included in the applicable Service Agreement.
21.5 Legally Required Refunds
Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes, or waives any refund, remedy, consumer-protection right, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived. If a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law, Visual Directive will provide the refund or remedy required by applicable law.
22. Disclaimer of Warranties
Visual Directive will perform services using reasonable professional skill and care.
Except as expressly stated in these Terms or the applicable Service Agreement, the services and deliverables are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Visual Directive disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted service, error-free service, and any warranty arising from course of dealing, course of performance, or trade usage.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Visual Directive will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost contracts, lost opportunities, reputational harm, missed deadlines, proposal losses, bid losses, or business interruption, arising from or related to the services, deliverables, these Terms, or any Service Agreement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Visual Directive’s total cumulative liability arising out of or related to an engagement will not exceed the total amount actually paid by Client to Visual Directive for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability, including contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or otherwise, even if Visual Directive has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
24. Indemnification
Client agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Visual Directive, Christina Humphrey, and their contractors, representatives, and service providers from and against any third-party claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:
- Materials, information, instructions, data, claims, logos, images, or content supplied by Client
- Client’s breach of these Terms or the Service Agreement
- Client’s violation of law, regulation, contract, security requirement, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right
- Client’s use, presentation, submission, publication, distribution, or modification of a deliverable
- A claim that Client-provided materials infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate a third party’s rights
- Client’s failure to obtain required approvals, licenses, permissions, or compliance review
Visual Directive will provide Client with reasonably prompt notice of an indemnified claim, subject to any legal or practical constraints.
25. Force Majeure
Neither party will be liable for a delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, public-health emergencies, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, software or third-party platform outages, government actions, acts of God, or illness or incapacity.
If a force majeure event affects Visual Directive’s ability to perform, Visual Directive may reasonably extend deadlines, reschedule services, suspend work, or terminate the affected engagement. Client remains responsible for fees for services already performed and time already reserved.
26. Independent Contractor Relationship
Visual Directive is an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms or any Service Agreement creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, franchise, agency, or representative relationship between the parties.
Client has no authority to bind Visual Directive, and Visual Directive has no authority to bind Client.
27. Electronic Communications and Signatures
The parties agree that electronic communications, including email, electronic signatures, digital acceptance, payment of an invoice, acceptance through a proposal platform, and other electronic records may be used to form and evidence agreements.
Electronic signatures and acceptances will have the same force and effect as original handwritten signatures to the extent permitted by applicable law.
28. Governing Law, Venue, and Disputes
These Terms, each Service Agreement, and any dispute arising out of or related to them are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Unless the parties agree otherwise in a signed Service Agreement, exclusive venue for any legal proceeding will lie in the state or federal courts located in the Florida county where Visual Directive’s principal place of business is located at the time the claim is filed, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before initiating formal legal action, the parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute through written notice and informal discussion for at least 15 calendar days, except where emergency injunctive relief is reasonably necessary.
29. General Provisions
29.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and the applicable Service Agreement constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the applicable engagement and replace prior discussions, understandings, representations, and agreements on that subject.
29.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
29.3 No Waiver
A failure or delay by Visual Directive to enforce any provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.
29.4 Assignment
Client may not assign, transfer, or delegate its rights or obligations under these Terms or a Service Agreement without Visual Directive’s prior written consent. Visual Directive may use subcontractors or service providers to assist in performing services, while remaining responsible for the work it agrees to provide.
29.5 Notices
Notices to Visual Directive must be sent by email to contact@visualdirective.com, unless a Service Agreement provides a different notice address.
Notices to Client may be sent to the email address, billing contact, project contact, or other contact information provided by Client.
29.6 Headings
Headings are provided for convenience only and do not affect interpretation of these Terms.
30. Changes to These Terms
Visual Directive may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date Client accepts a Service Agreement, pays an invoice, or otherwise authorizes services will apply to that engagement, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.
Updated Terms will apply prospectively to future engagements after they are posted or otherwise provided to Client.

- It is necessary to respond to your request or to take steps toward entering into a contract

We share only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
10. Third-Party Service Providers
Visual Directive uses third-party tools and service providers to operate portions of its website and business. Depending on the tools used at a given time, these providers may include:
- Website hosting and domain services
- Scheduling and booking services
- Email and communication services
- Dropbox for client file uploads, file sharing, and cloud storage
- PayPal for invoicing and payment processing
- Video-meeting services
- Document creation, signing, and storage services
- Business administration and accounting services
- Website fonts, embedded resources, or technical infrastructure providers
These third parties may collect, process, store, transmit, or otherwise handle information under their own privacy policies, terms of service, security practices, and legal obligations.
Visual Directive does not control the privacy practices, security measures, service availability, or data-handling practices of independent third-party providers. You should review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party service you choose to use, including Dropbox and PayPal.
We use third-party providers only as reasonably necessary to operate our business, communicate with Clients, receive and deliver files, provide services, maintain records, and process payments.
11. Payment Information
Visual Directive currently uses PayPal for invoicing and payment processing.
When you make a payment through PayPal, payment-card numbers, bank-account information, and other payment credentials are collected and processed directly by PayPal under its own terms, privacy policy, and security practices. Visual Directive does not intentionally receive or store complete payment-card numbers or full bank-account information.
We may receive limited payment-related information from PayPal, such as payment confirmation, payment status, transaction identifiers, payer name, email address, invoice details, amount paid, date of payment, and information needed to reconcile our business records or address a payment issue.
Your use of PayPal is governed by PayPal’s own applicable user agreement, privacy policy, and dispute-resolution processes.
12. Dropbox Client Portal and File Uploads
Visual Directive uses Dropbox as its client portal and for Client file uploads, file sharing, and cloud storage.
When you submit files through a Visual Directive Dropbox file-request link, shared folder, or other Dropbox-based upload method, Dropbox may collect, process, store, transmit, and otherwise handle those files and related information under its own terms of service, privacy policy, and security practices.

- Prepare a quote, scope, or Service Agreement
- Perform the requested services
- Communicate with Client regarding project requirements, deadlines, revisions, and delivery
- Maintain appropriate project and business records
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
Client is responsible for ensuring that each file uploaded through Dropbox is authorized for sharing and appropriate for the selected upload method.
Unless Visual Directive has first agreed in writing to an approved handling method, Client must not upload or share through Dropbox:
- Classified information
- Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
- Export-controlled information
- Information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”)
- Information subject to the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”)
- Sensitive government information requiring special handling

- Payment-card numbers or bank-account information
- Account passwords, login credentials, authentication codes, or access keys
- Protected health information
- Biometric identifiers
- Highly sensitive personnel information

If Visual Directive reasonably believes that restricted or improperly shared information has been submitted through Dropbox, we may decline to access or use the file, request that Client remove or replace it, delete or return it where reasonably practicable, suspend services, and work with Client to determine an appropriate next step.
Client Materials uploaded through Dropbox remain subject to the applicable Service Agreement and NDA. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the NDA regarding Client Confidential Information, the NDA controls.
13. Nondisclosure Agreements
Because projects may involve proprietary, confidential, or commercially sensitive information, Visual Directive enters into a nondisclosure agreement (“NDA”) in connection with each Service Agreement.
The applicable NDA governs the use, disclosure, protection, and handling of confidential information exchanged in connection with that Client engagement.
If an NDA conflicts with this Privacy Policy concerning the treatment of Client Confidential Information, the NDA controls for that information and engagement.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy authorizes Visual Directive to use or disclose Client Confidential Information in a manner prohibited by an applicable NDA or Service Agreement.
14. Sensitive and Restricted Information
Visual Directive is a presentation design and messaging studio. We are not a classified-information facility, a CUI-authorized environment, an export-controlled data environment, a health-care provider, a financial institution, or a specialized data-processing provider.
Unless we have first agreed in writing to an approved handling method, do not send or upload:
- Classified information
- Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
- Export-controlled information
- Information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”)

Client is responsible for determining whether its materials contain restricted, regulated, controlled, classified, export-controlled, or otherwise specially protected information before sharing them with Visual Directive.
If we reasonably believe that you have provided restricted information without prior written approval, we may decline to access, use, or retain the information; delete or return it where reasonably practicable; suspend services; and contact Client regarding an approved next step.
15. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
Visual Directive does not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration.
Visual Directive does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
Visual Directive does not use Client Materials for advertising, marketing, public portfolio display, or promotional purposes without Client’s prior written permission.
16. Data Security
Visual Directive uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we hold against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
Our practices may include reasonable access controls, password protection, use of reputable third-party service providers, limiting access to information based on business need, and maintaining confidentiality obligations in our Client engagements.
However, no system, website, internet transmission, cloud-storage service, email transmission, device, or method of storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us or stored by us or our third-party service providers.
You are responsible for using reasonable security practices when communicating with us, including avoiding the transmission of restricted information through unapproved channels and protecting your own systems, passwords, and access credentials.
17. Security Incidents
If Visual Directive becomes aware of a security incident involving personal information in our possession or control, we will investigate and take reasonable steps to contain and address the incident.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice to affected individuals, Clients, regulators, or other required parties. Florida’s breach-notification law contains specific requirements for covered entities, including notice timing and regulator-notification thresholds in certain circumstances.
If Visual Directive maintains personal information on behalf of a Client, the applicable NDA, Service Agreement, and law may also govern the timing and content of notice to that Client.
18. Data Retention and Deletion
Visual Directive retains personal information and Client Materials only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide or complete services
- Manage revisions, delivery, billing, and Client support
- Maintain business, tax, accounting, and legal records
- Comply with legal, contractual, and professional obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
- Protect our rights and business operations
Unless an NDA, Service Agreement, legal obligation, or legitimate business need requires a different period, Visual Directive may retain Client Materials for a reasonable period after an engagement ends.
Client may request deletion or return of its Client Materials at the end of an engagement by contacting us in writing. We will evaluate the request in light of our contractual, legal, accounting, backup, archival, security, and operational obligations.
Deletion may not be immediate or absolute. For example, information may remain in secure backup systems, accounting records, email archives, or other records for a limited period before deletion in the ordinary course. We may retain information as required or permitted by law, to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect legal rights, or meet recordkeeping obligations.
19. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request:
- Confirmation of whether we process your personal information
- Access to personal information we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate personal information
- Deletion of certain personal information
- A copy of certain personal information in a portable format
- Information about our data practices
- Opt out of certain processing where applicable
- Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request where applicable
To make a privacy request, contact us at contact@visualdirective.com with the subject line: Privacy Request.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. We may decline or limit a request where permitted or required by law, including when the request would disclose another person’s information, compromise confidential information, interfere with legal obligations, undermine security, or conflict with our rights under an NDA or Service Agreement.
If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, you may request an appeal by replying to our decision and writing Privacy Appeal in the subject line. We will respond as required by applicable law.
20. Marketing Communications
Visual Directive may send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by law.
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by:
- Using the unsubscribe link included in the email, if available
- Contacting us at contact@visualdirective.com
- Replying to the message with your opt-out request, where applicable
Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending non-promotional communications about an inquiry, project, invoice, payment, Service Agreement, NDA, security matter, policy update, or other transactional or administrative matter.
21. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website, emails, Client portal, or other communications may include links to third-party websites or services, including booking tools, Dropbox, PayPal, file-upload tools, payment processors, social-media platforms, video-meeting tools, or other providers.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, tools, or applications. Those third parties are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and data practices.
We encourage you to review the privacy policy of each third-party service before submitting personal information or Client Materials through that service.
22. Children’s Privacy
Visual Directive’s website and services are intended for businesses, professional contacts, and adults. They are not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not do business with minors.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe that a minor has provided personal information to Visual Directive, please contact us at contact@visualdirective.com so we can take appropriate action.
23. International Visitors
Visual Directive is based in Florida, United States. If you access our website, contact us, or provide information from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed in, or stored in the United States or in other locations where our service providers operate.
Those locations may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws of your country or jurisdiction.
24. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Visual Directive may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, technology, legal requirements, or business operations.
When we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy and revise the Last Updated date at the top of the policy. The updated policy will apply prospectively from its effective date unless otherwise stated.
For material changes, we may provide additional notice where required by applicable law.

Booking and Scheduling Policy.
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This Booking and Scheduling Policy (the “Policy”) applies to discovery consultations, project consultations, Client meetings, project kickoffs, review meetings, revision meetings, recurring check-ins, and other appointments scheduled with Christina Humphrey, a sole proprietor doing business as Visual Directive, with a principal place of business in Florida (“Visual Directive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Policy should be read together with Visual Directive’s Terms and Conditions of Service, Privacy Policy, any applicable Service Agreement, and any applicable nondisclosure agreement (“NDA”). If a signed Service Agreement conflicts with this Policy, the Service Agreement controls for that specific engagement.
By booking, attending, rescheduling, or participating in an appointment with Visual Directive, you or the entity you represent (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to this Policy.

1. Consultation Requirement
A consultation is required before Visual Directive accepts payment for a new project or begins services for a new Client, unless Visual Directive expressly waives the requirement in writing.
The consultation allows Visual Directive and Client to:
- Clarify Client’s presentation, briefing, or communication need
- Discuss the intended audience, deadline, scope, source materials, and requirements
- Determine whether Visual Directive’s services are an appropriate fit
- Identify potential scheduling constraints, rush requirements, and Client responsibilities
- Discuss the appropriate service, proposed process, and next steps
- Determine whether Visual Directive is able and willing to accept the engagement
A consultation does not obligate Visual Directive to accept a project, provide a quote, reserve a date, or begin services. A consultation does not establish a Client relationship unless and until Visual Directive accepts the engagement in writing and the parties satisfy the applicable onboarding, agreement, and payment requirements.
Visual Directive may decline any prospective engagement in its sole business judgment, including when the project is not a fit, the requested timeline is not feasible, the work falls outside our service scope, required materials are unavailable, or the requested work presents legal, security, technical, ethical, or operational concerns.
2. First-Come, First-Served Booking
Appointments, consultations, projects, and standard service requests are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to Visual Directive’s availability, Client readiness, and satisfaction of any applicable booking, agreement, intake, and payment requirements.
A requested date or appointment time is not reserved until Visual Directive confirms it. For paid project work, a project date or production slot is not reserved until:
- Visual Directive has approved the engagement.
- Client has accepted the applicable Service Agreement, quote, or scope.
- Client has completed all required onboarding steps.
- Client has provided the required intake information and initial materials.
- Visual Directive has received any required payment.
Visual Directive may accept, decline, reschedule, or release an unconfirmed requested date or time based on availability.
3. Rush Requests and Scheduling Priority
A rush request is any request that requires work to begin, be completed, reviewed, revised, or delivered on a timeline shorter than Visual Directive’s standard availability or standard turnaround time.
Rush requests are subject to Visual Directive’s availability, professional judgment, and written acceptance. Visual Directive is not required to accept rush work.
If Visual Directive accepts a rush request:
- Rush engagements receive scheduling priority over standard requests, appointments, and project work, to the extent reasonably necessary to meet the agreed rush timeline.
- The Client may be required to pay a rush fee, expedited-service fee, or other additional charge disclosed in the applicable quote or Service Agreement.
- The Client must meet all accelerated intake, content-delivery, feedback, review, approval, and payment deadlines.
- Visual Directive may require same-day or next-business-day feedback, depending on the agreed timeline.
- A missed Client deadline may result in a delayed delivery date, suspension of work, revised scope, additional fee, or termination of the rush engagement.
Rush priority does not guarantee that Visual Directive can accept a request, meet every deadline, or overcome Client delays, incomplete source materials, late approvals, third-party outages, or circumstances outside Visual Directive’s reasonable control.
4. Appointment Confirmation
An appointment is confirmed only when the Client receives a written booking confirmation from Visual Directive or the booking platform used by Visual Directive.
The Client is responsible for reviewing the confirmation details, including:
- Date and time
- Time zone
- Meeting format or location
- Meeting link, call-in details, or instructions
- Preparation requirements
- Any requested materials or questions
- Applicable rescheduling and cancellation deadlines
If the Client does not receive a confirmation, the Client should contact Visual Directive promptly at contact@visualdirective.com. Visual Directive is not responsible for a missed appointment caused by an incorrect email address, spam filtering, failure to review the confirmation, time-zone error, or other issue outside Visual Directive’s reasonable control.
5. Client Preparation and Attendance
To make the best use of scheduled time, Client agrees to:
- Attend the appointment on time
- Ensure that the appropriate decision-maker, project lead, or authorized representative attends when needed
- Review any requested preparation materials before the appointment
- Provide relevant project context, deadlines, scope requirements, and source information
- Be prepared to discuss the presentation, audience, desired outcome, current materials, and known constraints
- Notify Visual Directive promptly if a required attendee cannot attend
- Provide complete and accurate information during consultations and meetings
Visual Directive may end, reschedule, or limit an appointment if the required Client representative is absent, the Client is unprepared in a way that prevents a productive meeting, the Client’s materials are unavailable, or the discussion cannot reasonably proceed.
6. Rescheduling Policy
6.1 Notice Requirement
Client must request to reschedule an appointment at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled appointment start time.
Rescheduling requests must be made through the booking link, where available, or in writing by email to contact@visualdirective.com. A request is not effective until Visual Directive confirms it or the booking system confirms the change.
6.2 Maximum Reschedules
Client may reschedule an appointment a maximum of two (2) times per calendar month.
Additional reschedules may be approved only at Visual Directive’s sole discretion and may depend on availability, the Client’s circumstances, the nature of the engagement, prior scheduling history, and whether project deadlines can still be reasonably met.
Visual Directive may decline further rescheduling requests, require the Client to book a new appointment, place the project on pause, revise the project schedule, or terminate the engagement when repeated rescheduling materially disrupts the project or Visual Directive’s calendar.
6.3 Less Than 48 Hours’ Notice
A rescheduling request made fewer than 48 hours before the appointment is treated as a late rescheduling request.
Visual Directive may, in its sole discretion:
- Grant the request without consequence
- Treat the appointment as cancelled
- Apply a rescheduling fee, if a fee was clearly disclosed and agreed to in advance
- Count the late reschedule toward the Client’s rescheduling limit
- Require the Client to schedule a new appointment based on current availability
- Revise the Client’s project timeline or delivery date
- Treat the missed time as used under an ongoing retainer or service allocation, where the Service Agreement permits
Any fee associated with a late reschedule will be disclosed before booking or in the applicable Service Agreement and will be subject to applicable law.
7. Cancellations
7.1 Client Cancellation of an Appointment
Client must provide at least forty-eight (48) hours’ advance notice to cancel a scheduled appointment.
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to contact@visualdirective.com or through the booking system, if available. A cancellation is not effective until confirmed by Visual Directive or the booking platform.
7.2 Cancellations With Timely Notice
If Client cancels with at least 48 hours’ notice, Visual Directive may, depending on the appointment and engagement status:
- Permit Client to reschedule, subject to availability and the rescheduling limit
- Apply a prepaid meeting or consultation fee as a credit toward a future appointment, if applicable
- Process a refund only where the Service Agreement, a specific payment arrangement, or applicable law requires it
7.3 Late Cancellations
A cancellation made fewer than 48 hours before the appointment is a late cancellation.
For late cancellations, Visual Directive may, to the extent permitted by applicable law and as clearly disclosed before booking:
- Treat the appointment as used
- Retain any consultation, meeting, or booking fee already paid
- Apply the time against a retainer allocation or included meeting allowance, where the Service Agreement permits
- Require payment of a reasonable cancellation fee that reflects reserved professional time and scheduling capacity
- Decline to reserve a replacement appointment until any outstanding amount is paid
- Adjust the project schedule, timeline, or delivery date
A late cancellation does not automatically relieve Client of obligations under an active Service Agreement, including payment obligations, Client-delivery deadlines, or project-review deadlines.
8. No-Call/No-Show Policy
A no-call/no-show occurs when Client:
- Does not attend a scheduled appointment;
- Does not provide notice of cancellation or rescheduling before the scheduled start time; or
- Arrives so late that the appointment cannot reasonably proceed and does not communicate with Visual Directive.
No-call/no-shows are a violation of this Policy because Visual Directive reserves time that could otherwise be offered to another Client.
For a no-call/no-show, Visual Directive may, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and as clearly disclosed before booking:
- Treat the appointment as cancelled and used
- Retain any prepaid consultation, meeting, or booking fee
- Apply the missed time against an active retainer, included meeting allowance, or prepaid service allocation where the Service Agreement permits
- Require a new booking and, if applicable, payment of a reasonable rebooking or no-show fee before scheduling another appointment
- Pause or reschedule an active project
- Decline future appointments or terminate the engagement for repeated no-call/no-show behavior or material scheduling abuse
A no-call/no-show does not entitle Client to a refund, except where required by applicable law.
Visual Directive may consider documented emergencies and exceptional circumstances under Section 9. Any waiver is at Visual Directive’s sole discretion and does not waive the Policy for future appointments.
9. Emergencies and Exceptional Circumstances
Visual Directive understands that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances occur.
If an emergency, serious illness, accident, immediate family emergency, severe weather event, critical work interruption, or other significant circumstance prevents Client from attending or timely rescheduling an appointment, Client should notify Visual Directive as soon as reasonably possible.
Visual Directive may consider the circumstances and may, in its sole discretion:
- Waive a late-cancellation or no-show consequence
- Allow a reschedule outside the normal limit
- Apply a prepaid fee as a credit toward a future appointment
- Adjust a project schedule
- Offer another reasonable accommodation
Any accommodation is discretionary, case-specific, and does not establish a continuing waiver, precedent, or obligation to grant the same accommodation in the future.
10. Ongoing Projects and Required Touchpoints
For active projects, retainers, and ongoing support engagements, Visual Directive may require additional meetings, check-ins, working sessions, approvals, review calls, rehearsal discussions, status touchpoints, or other communications as reasonably necessary to complete the agreed services.
These touchpoints may be required to:
- Confirm the project’s strategic direction
- Review source materials and requirements
- Establish or revise the storyline
- Resolve questions or ambiguities
- Collect consolidated feedback
- Obtain approvals
- Prepare for rehearsals or oral presentations
- Review deliverables and next steps
- Manage retainer priorities, service capacity, and deadlines
Client agrees to make the appropriate authorized representative and necessary subject-matter experts reasonably available for required touchpoints.
Failure to attend, participate in, or provide timely input for required touchpoints may delay the project, shift delivery dates, cause work to pause, require a change order or additional fee, or result in suspension or termination under the Terms and Conditions of Service.
Unless the Service Agreement states otherwise, meetings required by Visual Directive to manage the agreed scope are included only to the extent reasonably necessary for the project. Additional meetings requested by Client, meetings caused by Client delay, repeated meetings caused by fragmented feedback, or meetings outside the agreed scope may be billed separately.
11. Late Arrivals
Client should join appointments at the scheduled start time.
If Client arrives late:
- The appointment will generally end at its originally scheduled end time
- Visual Directive is not obligated to extend the appointment beyond the reserved time
- The missed portion of the appointment will not be refunded, credited, or automatically rescheduled
- If Client arrives more than 15 minutes late without prior communication, Visual Directive may treat the appointment as a no-call/no-show or determine that the appointment cannot reasonably proceed
Visual Directive may, but is not required to, extend a meeting if its schedule permits.
12. Visual Directive Rescheduling or Cancellation
Visual Directive may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment due to illness, emergency, technical failure, scheduling conflict, severe weather, service outage, or another circumstance outside our reasonable control.
If Visual Directive needs to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we will make reasonable efforts to notify Client promptly and offer a replacement appointment within a reasonable period, subject to availability.
If Client paid a separate fee solely for an appointment that Visual Directive cancels and cannot reasonably reschedule, Visual Directive will provide an appropriate credit or refund, except where another remedy is required by applicable law or the Service Agreement.
Visual Directive is not responsible for indirect costs, missed opportunities, travel costs, lost profits, business interruption, or other consequential losses arising from an appointment reschedule or cancellation.
13. Meeting Conduct
Visual Directive is committed to professional, respectful, and productive working relationships.
Client and all meeting participants must communicate respectfully and may not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, abusive conduct, intimidation, or other behavior that reasonably interferes with Visual Directive’s ability to provide services.
Visual Directive may end, suspend, reschedule, or terminate an appointment or engagement if conduct is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unlawful, or materially disruptive.
Client remains responsible for all fees for time reserved or services performed before the appointment or engagement is ended, except where required by applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
Visual Directive may update this Booking and Scheduling Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, scheduling practices, business operations, or applicable law.
The version in effect when Client books an appointment, accepts a Service Agreement, or receives confirmation of a scheduled meeting will apply to that appointment or engagement, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.

Accessibility Statement.
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Visual Directive is committed to providing a website that is accessible, usable, and welcoming to as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology.
This Accessibility Statement applies to the Visual Directive website and the digital content that Visual Directive directly creates and controls. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that may be linked from or embedded in our website.
Visual Directive is operated by Christina Humphrey, a sole proprietor doing business as Visual Directive, with a principal place of business in Florida.

1. Our Accessibility Commitment
Visual Directive is committed to making its website and digital content reasonably accessible to people with disabilities.
We aim to provide an experience that allows visitors to learn about our services, evaluate whether we are a fit, contact us, book a consultation, upload permitted project materials, and access essential information without unnecessary barriers.
Accessibility is considered when we design, build, update, and maintain the Visual Directive website.
2. Accessibility Standard and Conformance Goal
Visual Directive uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1, Level AA as its working accessibility standard and design goal.
WCAG is an internationally recognized set of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. The most current version is WCAG 2.2; Visual Directive may update its working standard as the website, technology, and applicable accessibility guidance evolve.
Visual Directive is working toward substantial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA for the website content and functionality that we directly control. Because websites, browsers, assistive technologies, user settings, and third-party services change over time, we do not represent or guarantee that every page, feature, or third-party integration will be fully accessible at all times.
3. Accessibility Features
Visual Directive has designed or intends to design its website with accessibility features that may include:
- Keyboard-accessible navigation
- Visible keyboard focus indicators
- A skip link that allows keyboard users to move directly to the main content
- Semantic page structure, including headings and landmarks
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Decorative images and effects that are hidden from assistive technology when they do not convey necessary content
- Sufficient color contrast intended to support readability
- Responsive layouts designed to work across phones, tablets, laptops, and larger screens
- Text that can generally be enlarged using standard browser zoom controls
- Form labels and instructions designed to support users completing forms
- Clear headings and content structure designed to make information easier to scan and understand
- Reduced-motion behavior that respects device-level accessibility preferences where technically feasible
The availability and effectiveness of these features may vary based on browser, operating system, device, assistive technology, user settings, internet connection, and third-party services.
4. Keyboard Navigation and Screen Readers
Visual Directive aims to support keyboard-only navigation for website features under our direct control.
Visitors should be able to navigate interactive website elements using a keyboard, including through the Tab, Shift + Tab, Enter, Spacebar, and arrow keys where applicable.
The website uses headings and landmarks to help screen-reader users understand page structure and navigate more efficiently.
Meaningful images are intended to include text alternatives. Decorative effects are intended to be omitted from the accessibility tree where they are not needed to understand the content.
If you encounter an element that cannot be reached, operated, understood, or completed using a keyboard or screen reader, please contact us under Section 12 so we can assist and evaluate the issue.
5. Color, Text, and Responsive Design
Visual Directive aims to use text and background-color combinations that provide readable contrast.
The website is designed to adapt to a range of screen sizes, including mobile phones, tablets, and larger displays. Visitors may enlarge text using browser zoom and device accessibility settings.
While we aim to avoid relying solely on color to communicate important information, display differences, browser extensions, custom settings, accessibility tools, and third-party content may affect how colors, contrast, fonts, spacing, and layouts appear.
6. Motion, Animation, and Reduced-Motion Preferences
The Visual Directive website may include animation, including a moving spotlight effect, page transitions, and before-and-after slide demonstrations.
Where technically feasible, the website is designed to recognize device-level reduced-motion preferences. When a visitor has enabled a setting such as “Reduce Motion,” animation should be turned off, minimized, or simplified.
Some movement, transitions, or decorative effects may still be visible depending on browser support, device settings, third-party content, or technical limitations. These effects are not intended to be necessary for understanding core website content or accessing Visual Directive’s services.
If motion or animation creates a barrier for you, contact us and we will provide essential information or service access through another reasonable method.
7. Before-and-After Demonstration
The Visual Directive website includes a before-and-after slide illustration intended to show how visual hierarchy, message structure, and slide design can change how an audience receives the same underlying content.
Where this demonstration is available:
- The interactive comparison is intended to be operable with a keyboard as a slider
- A text description of the “before” and “after” slide versions is provided or intended to be provided for screen-reader users
- The visual effect is not intended to be the only way to understand the message
- Equivalent written content is provided or should be provided nearby
If you cannot operate or understand the demonstration, contact us and we will provide the information in an alternative format.
8. Demonstrative Slides and Sample Content
Visual Directive may display demonstrative slides to illustrate our presentation-design approach.
Where possible, demonstrative slide content is built using live HTML text rather than being presented solely as an image. This is intended to make the content more available to screen readers, browser zoom, text selection, and other assistive technologies.
Demonstrative slides may include visual layouts, diagrams, charts, timelines, comparison formats, or other design elements that are easier to understand visually. Accompanying text, headings, labels, and descriptions are intended to communicate the essential information without requiring the visitor to perceive every decorative or visual detail.
9. Third-Party Services
Some functions connected to Visual Directive’s website are provided by independent third-party services that Visual Directive does not own or control. These may include:
- Scheduling and booking services
- Dropbox file-upload, file-sharing, and client-portal services
- PayPal invoicing and payment-processing services
- Email services
- Video-meeting services
- Website hosting, font, embedded-content, and technical infrastructure services
We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites, forms, embedded tools, payment pages, client portals, or other external platforms.
If you experience an accessibility barrier while booking a consultation, uploading permitted materials, paying an invoice, contacting us, or using another third-party service connected to Visual Directive, contact us at contact@visualdirective.com. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative way to complete the same essential task, such as scheduling by email, receiving accessible file-transfer instructions, providing invoice-payment assistance, or supplying requested information in another format.
Third-party services are governed by their own accessibility practices, terms, and policies.
10. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Visual Directive website may not be fully accessible to every visitor, browser, device, or assistive technology.
Known or potential limitations may include:
- Decorative visual effects or animations that may not be meaningful or equally perceivable to all users
- Interactive content whose behavior may differ across browsers, devices, or assistive technologies
- Third-party scheduling, Dropbox, PayPal, video-meeting, font, hosting, and other external services that are outside Visual Directive’s direct control
- Uploaded Client materials, which may not be accessible if the source documents provided to us are not accessible
- Future documents, templates, downloadable files, embedded content, or features that may require additional accessibility review
- Older website content or legacy materials that may not yet meet our current accessibility goal
Decorative effects are not intended to be required to understand the website’s core information or to inquire about, book, or receive Visual Directive’s services.
If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please contact us.
11. Alternative Access and Accommodation Requests
If you cannot access information, complete an action, use a feature, or receive a service through the Visual Directive website because of an accessibility barrier, please contact us.
Upon request, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the relevant information, service, or transaction through an alternative method. Depending on the request, this may include:
- Providing information by email
- Scheduling a consultation by email
- Providing a text-based description of visual content
- Sending a document in a different accessible format where reasonably feasible
- Providing another reasonable way to submit a project inquiry, file, feedback, or payment-related request
- Communicating through another mutually workable method
Alternative access may depend on the nature of the request, the content involved, the accessibility need, technical feasibility, security requirements, and applicable law.
For sensitive project information, alternative-access arrangements remain subject to Visual Directive’s Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions of Service, applicable NDA, and restricted-information requirements.
12. Accessibility Feedback
We welcome feedback about the accessibility of the Visual Directive website.
If you encounter a barrier, please contact us and include, if possible:
- The webpage address or page title
- A description of the issue
- What you were trying to do
- The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using, if applicable
- Your preferred method for receiving assistance or the information you need
We will review accessibility feedback and respond as soon as reasonably practicable. If an immediate fix is not feasible, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative method of access or communicate the next steps.

13. Assessment and Ongoing Improvement
Visual Directive reviews accessibility as the website evolves and when significant website features, content, forms, documents, or third-party integrations are added or changed.
Our review may include:
- Manual review of page structure and navigation
- Keyboard-navigation checks
- Review of color contrast and readability
- Review of text alternatives for meaningful images
- Review of reduced-motion behavior
- Review of responsive layouts and browser zoom behavior
- Review of user feedback and reported barriers
- Use of automated accessibility-checking tools, where appropriate
Automated tools can identify certain technical issues but cannot identify every accessibility barrier. We aim to combine practical manual review, user feedback, and ongoing improvements.
14. Changes to This Statement
Visual Directive may update this Accessibility Statement as the website, services, technology, accessibility practices, or applicable guidance changes.
When we update this statement, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page. The updated statement will apply from its effective date unless otherwise stated.
